Ticket Reservation Procedure at Goa Railway Stations

One can reserve the tickets at these railway stations or you can also book your ticket online on the Indian railways website. Tickets booked online are know as e-tickets are are accepted in the train. You do not have to redeem an original ticket at the railway station for an e-ticket. In case you are not able to reserve in advance you can always opt for the tatkal reservations. The tatkal reservation open up 24 hours prior to the trains journey. All trains have a certain quota of seats reserved under the tatkal scheme.

The non a/c trains do not offer any additional services besides the travel. Food and beverages are available ample with the vendors who keep moving between the train compartment. You can purchase from these vendors.

In the a/c trains they provide a blanket, bedsheets and pillows. The blankets, bed sheets and pillows provided are quiet clean. The toilets of the a/c section is cleaner compared to that in the non a/c section.

About Margao Municipal Garden - Margao 

Margao Municipal gardens lies in the heart of the busiest City, Margao opposite  Margao Municipal building. The Margao Municipal Garden was developed by the Mavany family and is named after Aga Khan, during his visit just before Goa's liberation. About Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG)

The Entertainment Society of Goa was established by the Government of Goa in 2004, as the nodal agency in the organization of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). About Maquinez Palace, Panjim - Goa

The Maquinez Palace was built in 1702 and originally belonged to two brothers, Diago da Costa de Ataide e Tieve and Cristovam da Cost de Ataide e Tieve, known by the name of Maquinezes. In 1842, the Portuguese used the nearly 150-year old Palace to house a medical institution, the Goa Medical College. Now the Maquinez Palace has been restored and renovated and it houses the offices of the Entertainment Society of Goa, and the organizational partners of the International Film Festival of India.

Patto Bridge - Panaji - Goa

About  Patto Bridge, Panjim

The Patto Bridge is a historic monument built by the Portuguese between the years 1632 – 34. The bridge with its Roman style arches is built of laterite stone. The bridge is the extension of the causeway known as 'Ponte de Linhares' that links Ribandar to Panaji and it is about 3.2 kms long. This bridge was originally designed for light traffic of horse driven carriages during the Portuguese era but today it caters to heavy vehicular traffic and is still in good condition. The Panjim Municipal Garden also known as "Garcia De Orta" was built in 1855. It was reconstructed recently in 2010 by the government. The garden is surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers and is a pleasant place to take a break while roaming in the Panjim city. It allows you to relax and catch some fresh air.

About Panjim Church Square

The Church Square which is also known as the Municipal Garden is a green rectangular park in the heart of Panjim. It is located opposite the Indian Government Tourist Office and right in front of the Mary Immaculate Conception church. It is a quiet an attraction amongst the tourist. During the feast of Mary Immaculate Conception there is a big 3 day fair that is setup around the Panjim Church square. The feast of Mary Immaculate Conception is celebrated every year on the 8th of December. The Church Square is an excellent example of the remarkable Portuguese Baroque style. It is a wonderful place to just sit down and relax and soak in the atmosphere.
