Agonda Beach is a small and strikingly beautiful beach located 37knm away from the Margoa city in South Goa. The beach is around 3 kms long and is rather isolated due to its remote location which is actually a big advantage as the beach is serene and clean and offers a good destination for all holiday goers.

This beach offers a great place for sun bathing and just relaxing as here you will find very few people to disturb you. This beach lies at a distance of around 10 kms from Palolem beach where a lot of parties take place. The sea can be quite rough so swimming is not advised. If you are a surfing enthusiast then this may be the place for you. If you like shopping you can check out the various stall near the beach. You can even stay overnight at the beach huts.

Palolem Beach Goa

Palolem Beach is a beautiful beach located in South Goa. It lies in Canacona taluka of Goa. This beach is around 1.6 kms and the entire beach is shaped like a C. If one stand at either ends of the beach you can view the entire beach. Unlike the other crowded beaches in North Goa Palolem beach is serene and quiet and allows you to enjoy this natural beauty to its fullest. You can also catch a glimpse of dolphins who frequently visit the waters of Palolem.

Palolem beach offers a variety of beach shacks to satisfy your taste buds. If you want to stay as close to the beach as possible you can stay in the  beach huts which are there on the beach. The beach huts are small and neat and you can comfortable spend the night in them enjoying the cool sea breeze and the sound of waves hitting along the shore.

At Palolem you can spend your time watching the dolphins or you can also go for a swim. The water clarity at this beach is comparatively better compared to the other beaches. About Siridao Beach , Siridao, Goa 

Siridao beach is situated near the Zuari estuary and well known for pearl and oyster rich shore. One will enjoy the drive from the main road towards the beach. Either sides of the roads are covered with lush trees. Siridao beach is known for the Jesus of Nazareth Chapel where thousands of devotees from all over Goa flock during the feast that is held on the first week of Easter.
One can also see the chapel of the Holy Souls here that was built in 1973. This was designed by Lucio Miranda a well known architect and for its long life the chapel is sanctified by the faithfuls with ten lakh Hail Marys.

Siridao beach , Siridao, Goa

The Siridao beach is a rocky and sandy beach where one can see some mysterious caves. At the entrance of the Siridao Village in Goa one can see three stone carved statues playing Musical instruments with a dog. Here is preserved the testimony of a huge man like creature who once inhabited the place and who was locally nicknamed ‘Paulist’.

Palolem Beach is one of the most famous beaches in South Goa. This picture perfect beach is enclosed by a thick forest of coconut palms and makes it a favorite destination among the tourists. Every year bamboo-hut resorts and shacks are erected along the beach. These bamboo-hut resorts allow tourists to stay right on the beach just a few meters away from the sea.

How to get to Palolem Beach, Goa

To reach Palolem beach one needs to take an approx 90 minutes drive from Margao city. This beach is situated in Canacona taluka and is in the far south end of Goa.

When you are at this beach do remember to visit the Butterfly island. You will locate this island right on entering the beach. You can either swim to the island or wait for the low tide and then take a rocky walk to reach it. Other activities that one can do at this beach include boating, scuba diving, canyoning and kayaking.

Vagator Beach Goa

About Vagator Beach, Goa

Vagator Beach is yet another beach located in North Goa. This beach is approximately 22-24 kms from Panjim city. Vagator beach is more secluded than the near by beaches since it is not easily accessible. Close to the Vagator beach is the Chapora fort. The Chapora fort is a 500 year old Portuguese fort. To get to this fort one has to travel by foot.

The fort is located on a hill and the hike to get to this fort is quiet steep. The view from the fort is absolutely breathtaking and it worth every bit of the trouble taken to get here. Below is a picture of the Vagator Beach.

Ashwem beach is located in north Goa. Its a quiet and peaceful beach with a couple of good shacks located there. It is ideal for people who want a peaceful place to go to. At this beach one gets to see vast stretches of sands which are now uncommon on the other beaches of Goa. This beach is also relatively clean compared to the other beaches of Goa. Ashwem beach is one of the quieter beaches of Goa. It is away from all the hustle and bustle that one witness at most of the Goan beaches.

This beach is also the nesting place for the olive ridley turtle which is a rare species of turtle. The nesting season of these turtle is between September to February.

Candolim Beach Goa

About Candolim Beach, Goa

Candolim Beach is situated in North Goa. It is located around 14 kms from the capital city Panjim. This beach lies between Sinquerim Beach and Calangute Beach. This beach is part of the long stretch of beaches along the Arabian Sea that begins at Fort Aguada and ends at Chapora Beach. Compared to Sinquerim beach and Calangute Beach this beach is relatively less crowded and cleaner. It has nice white sand. The water at this beach is also relatively clearer and good to swim. Along the beach there are a number of shacks where one can satisfy their taste buds. For the sports enthusiasts this beach offers a lot of water sports like para sailing, speed boats and banana boat rides.

How to get to Candolim Beach, Goa

You can reach this beach by hiring a taxi from Panjim bus stand or there are a lot of self drive bikes available on hire on daily payment basis. If you want an economical option there one can always take the local bus. The only problem is the buses are crowded. On Candolim beach some year back a huge ship named 'River Princess' had got grounded. The removal of this ship is now complete.

Candolim beach has been playing host to the Sunburn music festival for some years now. This festival is usually held in the month of December and draws a huge number of visitors from all over India and as well as abroad. Betalbatim Beach is the beach directly north of Colva, an approximate 15 minutes walk. Its a nice and secluded beach to go to. This is one of the big beaches in Goa. The beach offers vast stretches of sand which are perfect for long walks. The shoreline is cleaner compared to the other beaches in Goa. The beach has a number of shacks dotting its shoreline which offer beach bed on rent. These beach bed offer a perfect place to relax. Betalbatim Beach also has a large tree cover which make it a favorite picnic spot amongst the locals.
