Candolim Beach: Candolim beach lies in the north of Goa. It is quiet peaceful compared to the other beaches in Goa. This beach stretch connects with the Calangute beach. At this beach you will find a lot of Sports activities like Parasailing and water-sking. Also located nearby are a lot of inns which provide some good facilites.

Sinquerim beach: This beach too lies in the north of Goa and it is part of the 30 km beach line which starts at Fort Aguada and then it continues as Sinquerim beach, then as Candolim Beach and merges into Calangute , then the Baga Beach and then Anjuna Beach to Vagator Beach finally it comes to an end at Chapora Beach and Fort. Besides the beach there are other places too which one can visit at Sinquerim. And I must also mention the Sinquerim cliff. One gets an amazing view from there. Below are some snaps of the Sinquerim Beach and of the Sinquerim cliff.

Fort Aguada: Fort Aguada is an old, well preserved Portuguese fort standing on Sinquerim beach. This Aguada Fort overlooks the vast expanses of Arabian Sea and is an excellent place to visit while in Goa. On the fort stands an old Portuguese lighthouse, erected in 1864 and is one of the oldest of its kind in Asia. Some part of this fort is converted to Central Jail. Below is a picture of the Aguada Fort.

Fort Aguada Beach Resort: On the land around the fort lies the Fort Aguada Beach Resort. Fort Aguada Beach Resort is composed of a number of villas and cottages and is a 5-star rated hotel. Below is a picture of Fort Aguada Beach Resort taken from a distance.

Baga Beach: This beautiful beach located near Calangute beach is a favorite among the tourist for fishing and water sports.

Vagator Beach:This beach lies in North Goa and is approximately 22-24 kms from Panjim the capital of Goa. From the vagaotor beach you can see the 500 year old Portuguese fort. For those interested in visiting the fort will have to hike up to this fort. The view from this fort is breathtaking. From here you get a stunning view of the blue sea. Absolutely amazing place to visit.

Ashvem Beach: Ashvem beach is located in north Goa. Its a quiet and peaceful beach with a couple of good shacks located there. Ideal for people who want a peaceful place to go to.

Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary: The cotigao wildlife sanctuary is located in Canacona taluka which lies in the south of Goa. The best time to go and visit this sanctuary is in the months of October - December. This sanctuary supports diverse life forms. The peace and calm that one experiences here is something that you cannot find elsewhere. This can be counted among the must see places in Goa for nature lovers.
